Board and Volunteer Positions

Descriptions of HCCA Volunteer Opportunities
Officers/Board Members are elected each annual meeting (usually in January):

Officers:

President: Presides at meetings, general manager of Assoc. and its affairs

Vice President: Acts in place of pres. when necessary; member of Neighborhood Enhancement Comm.

Secretary: Records all meetings, gives notices of meetings, coordinates production of newsletter

Treasurer: Receives and deposits all monies; disperses money as approved by the board; gives a detailed accounting report at each regular meeting; maintains membership roster

Board Members:
At least four, corresponding to the 4 divisions of Eaglesmere (2,3,4,5)
Responsible for meeting with members within the region he/she represents so policies and activities developed by the Board of Directors are responsive to the concerns and interests of the general membership. There is an option for more board members, but not more than three per area.
{Note: to facilitate this job, we set up sub-divisions of not more than 12 homes each. These have (or need) a rep who interfaces within the smaller group and reports to the board member of the area corresponding. See map to determine the areas and sub-divisions.}

Officers and Board Members are expected to attend meetings.

Other committees and positions filled by volunteers (no election):

Neighborhood Rep:
The neighborhood is divided into small clusters of homes (usually not more than 10 homes per cluster). A neighborhood representative is a connection between the cluster of homes and the association. The two primary responsibilities are: (1) Track home sales and occupancy of new residents so we can be sure they receive communications from HCCA; (2) Distribute neighborhood newsletters (during the month[s] when these are hand-delivered).

Architectural Control Committee:
Consists of one member from each of the four divisions of Eaglesmere. Performs the duties as described in the covenants. Makes rules on compliance for new projects and existing conditions. Reports to the Board of Directors on periodic basis or whenever a major concern arises.

Membership Committee: Welcome new members and solicit membership

Neighborhood Enhancement Committee: Vice-Pres and two or more members. Researches and organizes activities which enhance the safety/and or appearance of the neighborhood. Interfaces with Bellevue to implement programs or activities. (Clean-up weekend, mailboxes, block watch, etc.)

Picnic Coordinator: Organizes and plans the annual summer social

Webmaster: Maintains the horizoncrest.org site
